Is it safe to convert files online?

The risk

Most online converters upload your file to a server. That's fine for memes, less fine for passports, payslips or contracts.

What to check

• Does the site say where files go and when they're deleted?
• Does it work offline once loaded? That's a sign it converts in your browser.

How ConvertPics works

Every converter runs in your browser, so files stay on your device. Read more on our file security page.
